How soon can I book you for my event?

For events between September and May, you will be able to book me up to 6 months in advance.  For summer events (June - August), I am sometimes only able to book 3-4 months in advance.  This is because I often have out-of-town commitments during the summer for which I don't have the dates until April.  I'll be happy to provide you with a quote at any time, but I won't be to send you a contract until we are within the booking period for your event.  Upon booking by telephone or e-mail, you will receive a contract in the mail, which will need to be returned to me within two weeks, along with a 50% deposit of the total performance fee.

How long will you stay at my event?

I provide a one-hour contract for most events.  If the event will last longer than one hour, you may book the ensemble in additional half-hour increments.  A typical wedding ceremony includes 15-30 minutes of prelude music, processional, meditation, recessional, and 10-15 minutes of postlude music.  If you will have a Catholic Mass, please keep in mind that this involves a longer ceremony than other weddings and you will need to book the ensemble for one and a half hours.

Will you play outside?

Yes, as long as there is no precipitation, and the temperature does not drop below 60 degrees. If our instruments will be exposed directly to the sun, we will play outside if there is adequate protection from the sunlight.  We cannot use a piano for outdoor events.

Can I request a special song, even if it is pop music?

Certainly!  As long as an arrangement of the song has been published for the ensemble you've booked.  If it hasn't been arranged for your ensemble (but has been published otherwise), we can create an arrangement of the song for an extra fee.  If the sheet music for the song hasn't been published at all, we cannot legally play it for your event.

I live in the city, but my event is in the suburbs.  Is there a travel fee?

There is no fee for travel, unless your event is located more than 20 miles from my home.  There is a fixed rate of $15 for the first additional 10 miles.  For every 10-mile increment after that, there is a charge of $5 per ensemble member.

I'd like you to come play at my wedding reception too, but it's in a different location.  Is there a travel fee?

There is no fee to travel between locations as long as it is under five miles.

I have to change the date of my event!

If I am unavailable for the new date and I have at least 90 days notice, I will be happy to find a replacement ensemble for the same price.  Your deposit will be transferred to the replacement ensemble.  If the notice is less than 90 days before the event, it is the responsibility of the replacement ensemble to set their own price. In case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable within 90 days of the event.
